Crouch ... ♫ ♫ Nehemiah 8:6 «And Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, lifting up their hands, they bowed their heads, and worshipped the Lord with their faces to the ground».
When we receive a word from the Lord our answer should be «Amen».
Let the church say Amen !

Lead ... Let the church say Amen, let the church say Amen God has spoken, so let the church say Amen. Yeah. Let the church, let 'em say Amen. If you believe the word, let the whole church say Amen. God has spoken, so let the church say Amen. Lift your hands, lift your hands. God has spoken, so let the church say Amen, Oh, thank you Lord. God has spoken, so let the church say Amen.

♫ ..... ♫
Let the church say Amen. Let the church... everybody... say Amen. God... God has spoken So let the church... let the church... say... say Amen.
Can I get a witness... Let the church say Amen. To what His plans are... let the church say Amen. To what His words say... God has spoken... God has spoken Let the church... let the church... say... say Amen... Amen. Make this your response... Amen To whatever He says... Amen From the healing of your body... Amen To the raising of the dead... Amen No matter how you feeling... Amen Or how your world is reeling... Amen Battle on through the night... Amen 'Cause you're going to win the fight... Amen Even in the valley... Amen Or standing at your red sea... Amen Continue to say... Amen 'Cause your help is on the way... Amen My God has spoken, I heard Him... let the church... so let the church say... say Amen.
Lift your hands wherever you are, and let the church Let the church say Amen Amen, say... let the church... let the church say... say Amen, God has spoken... God has spoken Hallelujah... let the church... let the church say... say Amen.
All we needed was a word from the Lord We've got it so... Let the church... let the church... say Amen. Oh, let the church... let the whole church... say Amen God has spoken... God has spoken... well, well, well, well Let the church... let the church... let the church say... say Amen Let the church say Amen.
I need you to say it... Amen When your dream is about to die... Amen Knowing that God is not a man... Amen He just can't lie... Amen In spite of what... Amen What the devil does... Amen Know you've got a word... Amen That has come from above... Amen Faith must be... Amen Must be what you say... Amen So open your mouth... Amen And say Amen today... Amen 'Cause God God has spoken I heard Him when He said it... let the church... so let the church... say Amen Oh, You and you and you say... Amen From the deacons... Amen To the mothers... Amen All of the sisters... Amen All of the brothers say... God has spoken... Oh my my let the church... let the church... say Amen.
Oh, If God said it... You can't change it (no,no,no) rearrange it (no,no,no) [I believe] God said it (no,no,no) [God said it] believe it [Oh oh oh oh oh]

Andraé Crouch's "Let the church say Amen" is climbing the charts and was # 14 last week on Billboard's Gospel Songs chart [...] In a conversation with the living legend, Crouch revealed how the song was born.
"Let the church say Amen" is featured on the Grammy® nominated CD "The journey", and Pastor Marvin Winans sings lead on the song. Crouch says Winans was a natural choice. «The Winans have been some of my favorite people and Marvin certainly has a real anointing when he preaches and sings, he's a great interpreter of my music.»
How did Crouch choose that tittle ? _ «I'm a pastor, I say "let the church say amen" and that settles it, everything has been said, you know, it's like we have to agree with God». But [...] the song means much more. The singer experienced multiple losses in his life. His mother passed away and his father died one year later. If that weren't enough, his brother, who became pastor of the church their father founded, died four months after taking the helm at the church.
At his brother's funeral the loss of so many loved ones weighed heavily on him : «It seemed like at the service for my brother the devil just threw them all in my face» [...].
During the funeral, the minster said, "let the church say amen", and told the church to lift their hands and praise the Lord. It was a difficult moment for Crouch. «My hand was so limp, I couldn't even hold my hand up and I told the person that was sitting next to me, "will you hold my hand up ?" and I was saying "amen, praise the Lord" and that's where the seed was first sown for that song.»
It would be years before Crouch would finally write, "Let the church say amen", but it remained in his spirit. «After going through some other things, God brought back that statement "just say amen". That means "accept what I do; I know what I'm doing"». When Crouch was preparing to record "The journey", he chose to write a song that reflected the significance of those words. ......
